Jerry Wenger was raised in southern Maryland. As the fifth of twelve children, he learned to enjoy hard work–refueling the greenhouse woodstove at night, building a dam across the brooklet in the woods, walking the floor with a fussy baby sister, or crabbing on the Potomac River. Building and hauling sheds and growing produce were some of his earliest business ventures.
Jerry brings a unique perspective to the marketing team, having been a sales consultant for Rosewood in its early years, when he traveled to meet clients and discuss their advertising needs. After living in California for seventeen years, he moved back to Pennsylvania in 2025. Looking for local employment, Jerry was drawn to Rosewood’s company values, work atmosphere, and family-friendly schedule.
Varied life experiences and business opportunities, such as teaching school, working with troubled youth, selling backyard structures, and managing a furniture sales company, have enhanced Jerry’s interest in understanding people and have taught him the value of compassion, a listening ear, and attentiveness to nonverbal cues.
Jerry’s interests include nature, outdoor work, singing, and reading. (His collection of books is more extensive than his shelf space.) He enjoys spending time with people, especially his wife Becky and their seven children, ages four to twenty-four.
